Ordered a few stuff the other week from H&M Online, as Coole needed some new chinos. Saw this hat, and clicked it home as well. I have another black, fedora hat, which is huge and would totally blow away the moment I step out the door in the fall wind. This one is still a bit big though, but I love the gray colour! I feel like a Canadian forest guard when wearing it though, so I need to get used to wearing a big hat like that before wearing it amongst other people, haha.

Are you a hat person?

Wish you a good Monday everyone!

Downloaded a cocktails and drinks app the other day, and found some really interesting smoothie recipes there too! So when I was at my parents house the other day, I stole their smoothie machine and decided to try out some of the smoothies. This avocado smoothie surprised me a lot, it was super delicious and the honey and vanilla gives it just the sweetness it needed. Now that fall has begun to create a more crisp air, avocado is known to also moisturise the skin from within, which is great for my dry skin.

I suggest you give it a go! Do you have any good smoothie recipes to share?

I have a tendency to find myself a favourite and stick to it. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a creature of habit. But as I've seen the relaunched, beautiful H&M collection, I thought I'd give it a try. It's not the most expensive products either, so I wouldn't feel as ripped off, if it didn't exceed my expectations. My biggest question was; Is it as good as it looks? Let's be fair, the new modern, minimalistic packaging is gorgeous!

So, I bought this concealer trio in the colour medium to dark. The purpose of it was to use it as sort of a creamy contour shade. I usually stick to powder products because of my sensitive skin, but I thought I'd give this a go. The colours were okay, I wish the darkest colour was a bit darker for my purpose. But it is a concealer though, so I wouldn't expect anything. It was super creamy, I had some difficulties of blending it evenly and, my face just looked superoily and awkward afterwards. I will probably not use it again, except for the lightest colour. I'll use that one for highlighting underneath my brows!

I'm not a huge lipstick fan, frankly I often forget to put it on, and can't be bothered with the hassle of reapplying every now and then. I chose the coler 001 which is a sandy, nude colour (I was aiming for something like Mac's Creme d'Nude). This was also superduper creamy, but I found the colour quite nice.

This was the tools I used. I used the sponge to blend the concealer colours together. Perhaps it's just because I'm not used to sponges and creamy products, but my face looked super awkward afterwards. However the two other brushes, I liked it a lot! I already have an angled eyeliner brush from EcoTools (love their products), and these brushes worked just fine with the creamy products. I ended up throwing the sponge and kept the brushes.

Overall. I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. It was fun to try something new, and although it didn't go exactly as I had hoped, I still found ways to work it out.

Have you tried some of the H&M Beauty products? Any tips for good contouring products?

I've moved out! My boyfriend and I have gotten a cozy little flat in a flat block, and we love it here! We've only lived here a couple of days now and moved in over the weekend. Right now it feels like we've gone on vacation, as we're only used to see each other in the weekends. It's kinda surrealistic that we've got our own place now, but I can't help but dig it.

Geez, where'd the summer go? Last weekend had such good sunny weather, and just when it turned to September, heavy rain started falling. It's even flood in several parts of my area. Bring the summer back PLEASE!

Everytime I travel to a new place, I often find myself looking up. Seeing the entire buildings from first to top floor, admiring their architecture and how they make the streets look so different from the streets back home. Especially when it comes to old buildings, I imagine how the people and the entire place looked when the buildings were new.

Long time no see.. Since I've last posted here, I finished my year at school, had a rainy summer at home, travelled, worked and hung out with people. The blog hasn't been prioritised, nor have I given much effort to try to do so either. But here I am again. Trying for a fresh start, as I've convinced myself I'll have more time to blog now that I'm not studying anymore.

Just came home from a week in New York with E, and oh my, how I love that concrete jungle. I ♥ NY!

Did some interior shopping yesterday, to freshen up the house a bit until my birthday celebration on Saturday. So I literally went by all the interior shops at the shopping centre, to make sure I got everything I needed. And I must say, I'm very content with the outcome! Did buy a lot of boring, but necessary stuff as well, but table decorations are the most fun! These are the two table decorations I put together in our two living rooms, what do you guys think?

My sister showed up with these on my birthday, and guess what? I LOVED THEM! I have a somewhat bizarre craze about minions, compared to most my people my age I think, but come on, they are adorable! I told her that if she only gave me these muffins for my birthday, I would still go just as crazy when I got them. My sister knows me well!

Turning the big two-0 today! Finally old enough to buy spirits, to drown my sorrows with because I'm no longer a teenager. Who am I kidding? Of course I mean, YAY! Bottoms up!

Sorry for the long silence by my hand, but I've been quite busy with school and life and stuff... Picked up my dad this morning at the train station, as he just came home from Las Vegas! He'd be gone for a week, but I had to make sure he made his time there efficient, so I sent with him a little shopping list. Can't wait to try them, perhaps you'd like me to write a review of it as well?

Bought myself these from H&M yesterday to bring some colour in my wardrobe after E's complaint of my wardrobe's boring colour variation. It's not black, white or grey, and neither are they neon, so I'm pleased.

  • 0
I saw this post last week and was inspired to do the same. Ironically enough, my answers are a lot like hers, but they are my opinions though! I guess I just have a very unoriginal and ordinary sense of fashion.

    Style
Mostly neutral colors like black, white and grey tones, but I try to lighten a bit up after complaints by E, claiming my little variated style. I don?t like to stand out that much, and one could say that both my personality and my style is a bit reserved in large groups of people. I dress after my mood, and sometimes I feel a bit sophisticated with an oxford shirt, and other days I feel a bit gangsta with gold chains.

    Everyday
Black skinny jeans from Dr. Denim (love ?em!), my favourite grey scarf from Acne Studios and cardigans or knitted jumpers with converse or sneakers.

    Party
It depends of the dress code and occasion obviously, but I like to dress up a casual outfit with a blazer, or dress down a dress with a big and chunky cardigan, to like null it out. But I rarely wear high heels, though I get Venus Gilette legs and a supermodel height, I just can?t stand the pain that comes with.

    Bags
I have two bags that I use everyday. My smaller bag, perfect for outings (and has room for my DSLR) is my MBMJ Classic Q Natasha, and use my Michael Kors Mackenzie for school. They are both black, so they match with anything, and fulfills any purpose I might have for a bag (for now, at least).

    Shoes
I am truly a Converse girl, but has also become more of a sneaker girl lately, because they are a bit better than a completely flat shoe for the back. But I also like to wear my black chelsea boots once in a while, and some heeled boots from Vagabond for classier, but casual occasions. Not to sound like a douche, but I think I do look smashing in high heels, but the pain just can?t compensate.

    Jewelry
I was better at wearing a lot of jewelry when I was younger, with a lot of rings and bracelets with a bohemian look, but now I just keep it minimal with a watch (I?ve become addicted since I started working and has to keep track of time) and the necklace that E gave me for my birthday (Ironically both the answer and the boyfriend?s name are the same from the inspiration blogpost). But sometimes I wear a statement necklace if my outfit just lack that little sumthin?.

    Favourite designer
I really don?t give much recognition to who designed the garment, but rather to what extent the garment are worth the money. But I kinda like Alexander Wang, as he tend to use very neutral colors (after what I?ve seen) and on the other side Marc Jacobs that he uses colors (that I couldn?t get myself to wear). I don?t know, I am really no high fashion couture person, really.

    Favourites of the season
Chunky cardigans and scarves in addition to straight coats. Let?s just say that I?m not good friends with the cold.

    Not in my wardrobe
Large, knitted oversized turtlenecks. Just? no.

    Inspiration
New clothes and displays at work and other stores, blogs, weheartit, people on the street, etc etc. In other words, people that are not naked and knows how to pull it off.

    Last purchase
Mustard coloured jumper from H&M in an attempt to get some colour in my closet, and a fedora hat.

    Shopping rule
Go home and see if you?ll dream about it. I usually tend to spend so much time deciding whether or not to buy something, and then it is sold out. But that?s okay, because I just tell myself that if it took me so long to decide anyway, it probably wasn?t meant to be.

    On the wishlist
A pair of white sneakers from Reebook.

    Best shopping memory
When I bought my first, expensive bag. It was in Selfridges Birmingham, and my mum had transferred my birthday money for that bag that I had drooled over. The excitement of looking, deciding, purchasing and bringing it home was something that I won?t forget. I remember how careful I was and that I handled it like it was made of paper. Until I realised that it?s just a bag.

    Online shopping
I don?t often shop online, as I like to see, feel and try on a garment before buying. But I like to browse through nelly.com, zara.com, and a few other pages I can?t remember right now. Lately I?ve discovered Sheinside.com. Although it ships from Hong Kong, it has clothes for a fair price, so I think it?s worth the wait. I?ve already ordered twice, and am still fully content with my purchases.

    Shopping outside of Norway
I?ve never been to any shopping metropoles outside of Norway than London (four times in a year), but I think only a few places can top my fondness for that place.

    Favourites at the moment
Chunky mohair cardigan from H&M, jumper from Storm & Marie (bought at Lille Himmel) and light jeans from Zara.

Yesterday was mum's birthday and she turned.. well old(er). Sis and I gave her gifts and we went out to eat lunch together. All in all, despite mum saying she doesn't want anything for her birthday just kind daughters blablablah, I think she really appreciated yesterday and the little extra attention she got. I mean who doesn't like getting a little spoiled on their birthday?

Finally I gathered the courage to take some outfit shots outside, and also gathered a few stares *awkward*. This is the second time I've worn these trousers in two years, mostly because a) I had to have something for my Sixth Form uniform, but wasn't really comfortable with it, and b) I gained a lot of weight during my exchange year, so it didn't even fit after two months. But now I actually like it a lot more, though I wish the legs were a bit shorter and not that straight, but oh well, maybe I'll find another someday.

It's Thursday again, which means a new editorial post for you guys, I hope you like it! Everything is from H&M, Nelly and Sheinside. What do you guys think?

PS: How do I edit my categories? I've been irritating myself over this, as I can't find the option anywhere ever since blogsoft changed their design....

Good morning! Just heading out to go to chiropractor and run some errands. Just thought I'd say hello and wish you guys a good day.

  • 2

Just woke up from a 45 minute nap, that easily turned into 1,5 hour. The plan after school was to be productive, but after a too long nap, I think I'll just do a little bit of school work and watch a lot of Brooklyn 99. Started watching that series during the weekend with E, and so far, I love it! If you're looking for a lightweight funny series, I demand you to watch it!

  • 5

Bought myself a lipliner from MAC the other day in the colour "beurre". Not sure how I feel about it though, but I think it was one of those less thought through purchases. But one thing I learned is that I really like the consistency of it, so I'll probably end up buying another one in a more discrete colour perhaps.

Spending the Sunday inside with this lad whilst the autumn weather is blowing heavily outside.

  • 2

Good morning! Didn't go to sleep before 2 am last night as I sat up working with my project, and now I'm sitting here with a cup of coffee and working again with it. And I still haven't started with the real project that I get graded on, right now I'm just working with the preliminary work before I can get started on the real thing. It's so time consuming!

Anyway, on today's to-do list is this:
    - Clean my space check!
    - Work on my project
    - Pay some bills and invoices
    - Drive to my sis? place to give her a very delayed birthday present (we're talking like six months here, haha)
    - Shop some things I need
    - Perhaps work on my little DIY project
    - Meet E at the post office to pick up his parcel
    - Call it a weekend!

Okay, I know I'm not a fashion expert, but I thought I'd do a little something for you guys on the fashion front here. As working in a clothing store and also now that I'm studying in Oslo, walking up and down the main street, I get the chance to window shop a lot and observe what's hot and what's not.

Since I work every Thursday, and often have school scheduled as well, I thought I'd start with a weekly column, with more editorial post made for you, so that I can write them beforehand and time them every Thursday. Trends, tips and hacks or something along those lines. I already have a couple posts made, so please let me know if you'd like me to proceed with this kind of thing :)

I'm no longer sweaty underneath the duvet when I wake up in the morning.
Instead of throwing the duvet off myself in irritation, it has become a fort, that protects and
warms me from cold shudders that the wind blows in through the window.

The sound of rain drumming on roofs and windows sets me in a grey mood
before I've even opened my eyes. The rain that makes even the windows cry.

The sound of geese, alerting us of the cold weather whilst
they fly south in their recognisable V over a grey landscape.

The window that was earlier used to bring a fresh breeze and cool the room,
has to be shut because the wind brings goosebumps and a breeze too cold.

The Norwegian strawberries has again left the fruit counter, and won't come to visit until next year.

The sun, which has become a rare sight and a missed friend amongst a grey sky.

In fewer words: there's a colder breeze in the air, and I don't think I like it.

A photographic fail to make the meal look delicious

Had an early lesson today and stayed a little bit after school to work on my current project before heading home to cook some dinner. It was surpisingly a success (as my boyfriend always says I'm a lousy chef), though it does look a bit suspicious with the green sauce, haha. Anyway, got some time to relaxe a bit before heading to work. How was your day today?

  • 7

Welcome to the family, Mackenzie! Brought home this little thing after school today, after waiting over a week for it. I thought it would fit my entire macbook, which it doesn't but I can still put it in sideways, so it still works for it's purpose as a school bag. I like how tiny it is, compared to my previous school bag (which was more of a weekend bag, really) and how it is not like the jet setter model, or even the same leather as the iconic MK bags I see every 4th girl around town with. Yay *materialistic joy* !

Pillow talks, staying late in bed, watching series all day in my hubby's arms on Netflix. This Sunday hasn't been anything else than relaxing, which was something I really needed.

  • 2

Good morning! I've just gotten ready before heading to work in a little while. I'm so exhausted from this week, having long days at school before rushing to work. Oh well, today is the last day of work, before I can finally call it a weekend. Later tonight, E is taking me to the cinema to see The Maze Runner, I'm so excited! That's going to be my motivation to get me through this shift today I guess. As if Saturdays aren't busy enough at work, it's Strømmen Fashion Weekend as well, so I'm expecting today to be twice as busy. But I gotta go, enjoy your Saturday lovelies!

    SFW

While most people will be wandering around the centre this weekend, I'm so lucky to spend all days working during Strømmen Fashion Weekend. I have full days of school as well, so my days lasts from 06.30 to 22.00. Gaah, I just want to sleep. Well, if you do come by SFW, have a look inside H&M, they've gotten a lot of good stuff lately.

  • 10

Went to bed late yesterday and woke up with so sore and tired eyes. But I had to go to school nonetheless and was there for about 5 minutes before heading back home again. A little bitter to have to travel for about 1,5 hour altogether just to deliver a thumb drive. But oh well. Went right to sleep afterwards, and woke up just in time to get to the chiropractor! I call that good karma, haha. I think I might just sleep some more, before heading to work again. Have a nice day lovelies!

PS: Thank you so much for leaving comments here, you guys make my day! ♥

Attempted illustrations of the birthday girls

Yesterday was a busy night! I started with a birthday party for two of my girlies, Nyosha and Anna with yummy taco, delicious mojito (virgin of course, as I was a designated driver last night) and Dina's famous cupcakes. It was really nice to see all the girls gathered again (with a few missing, unfortunately) as many has moved away for uni. Anyway, when people began to get loud and clumsy due to high intakes of intoxicants I went to E's friend's birthday pre-drinks and drove them to town. So three birthdays in one evening, is quite an accomplishment, if I can say so myself!

(Sorry for a lot of noisy pictures, but had to raise the ISO as it got late, and dark to get some decent photos)

Although it wasn't that fun to stay sober, I feel lucky to have been so, compared to certain people waking up with headaches today....Mehehe. Enjoy your sunday! Rest and reload for a new week tomorrow!

  • 9

Always wanted a similar cardigan from Acne, until I found this one at H&M for about 25% of the price. Ant it's sooooo soft! But don't have time for more talk, gotta catch the train to school!

  • 0

A brief hello before heading to work. Gosh, it's so difficult to dress these days as it's foggy and cold in the morning and blue skies and burning heat in the afternoon. Wore a fluffy jumper today, and almost died on the way home today. Better enjoy the heat while it lasts though, but not today because I gotta head to work in a few minutes.

    Enjoy your day, people!

  • 2

...a girl can do anything. Isn't that what they say? Got this from work last week, as H&M celebrated 50 years in Norway and wanted to give their employees a little gift. It's a lantern, but I might buy some large flowers instead and put it in there. What do you guys think?

  • 6

It feels so good to wake up relatively early when I'm starting late at school, to have some time for myself and just not stress at all. Unfortunately, the summer weather has gone, and autumn has really started with a complete white fog outside my window and rain dripping on the roof.

  • 0

Okay, a little proud moment here guys. I cooked! Lol. But as I never get the chance to get better at making food, which I really need to be good at before I eventually move out, in order to survive on other than youghurt and noodles, I made dinner yesterday. And it didn't taste like horseshit! Hooray! But I just realised that with the bad footage of the no-horseshit-taste meal, it still looks a bit.. doubtful though. Oh well. At least you can't eat a photo.

Old things that has comes from relatives - I find it so fascinating, interesting and beautiful. Old camera from somewhere between the 1920s and 1940s. An old jewelry box from my Great Aunt with my Grandmothers medallion in it. A recipe book from 1914. A postcard from my Step-Great-Great-Grand Uncle I think it was, from when he was overseas in America in 1911. My Grandmother?s old cigarette/tobacco box where she kept her sewing things.

On today's plan: Off to the chiropractor to loosen up my back, then to school for some individual work as I've got a study day, and then lunch with some friends, as one of my girls leave to study in Greece for four years! Went to bed at 10PM yesterday, but woke up still tired today as I had to watch the season finale of KUWTK aaaand just browse through aaaall my feeds on facebook, instagram, bloglovin etc. I really gotta learn to go to sleep early if I am ever gonna survive being a student.

    Have a good wednesday people!

  • 3

It felt so good to sleep in today! Got a study day today, which means no lessons, but I still have to go get ready because I'm meeting up with some classmates to work on our projects. But with a morning all to myself I've just been in bed, made mashed potatoes out of my brain with Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and paid some bills. But no more chillin, gotta go get ready. See ya!

  • 5

After two nights out, it feels good to have a day in with E, dips and snacks and 'Orange Is The New Black'. I know I'm late, but holy guacamole, that series is good!

  • 5

Yesterday's stand-up was hilarious! Slept only about five hours before I had to get up again and I am tired as f***. Just came home from school for a bite, but I still have 5 hours at work before this day is over. This is what I wore yesterday, anyways. I don't think E has gotten used to my-girlfriend-is-a-blogger-so-I-am-the-cameraman, so I think I have to train him a bit on angles and settings before he can take some shots of me, but this was his attempt yesterday.

  • 4

Had a day off as a study day that started 06.58 and lasted three hours before the day just simply became a day off. Like, I just don't get it, when I have to get up early, it's like hell to wake up before 11AM, but when I can sleep as long as I want, then my mind is like, nope, you're waking up before 7AM. What's wrong with me?! Haha, anyway, later today there's a stand-up festival @ Josefines Vertshus in Oslo, where E will most probably include at least one joke about how asian I am and make a fool out of me, although he's the one on stage. Oh well. Gotta take a shower and get ready, have a good day!

As told this morning, I collected the 'Beauty' book right after school today, and I can't wait to have a peek inside of it! But first, I have to watch the replay of the VMA's (has anyone else seen it yet??) before the boyfriend comes over for a visit. Have a good Monday people!

  • 3

Good morning! After a nice shower, homemade pizza and a thorough cleaning of my room, I opened a book I haven't opened in years; Lauren Conrad's 'Style'. I've learnt many tips and tricks that has come to mind in tricky fashion situations, and yesterday I had the moment to refresh many of those. I must say, it started to itch a bit in my purse, so I just as well bought her book 'Beauty' that I'll pick up after school today. Can't wait to read it!

  • 10

Finally it is Sunday, which is this week's me-day.I have time to clean, relax, and do whatever. On today's agenda is a looooong nice shower, vacum, clean, and relax. I have already found myself dreaming on the internet, with interior and fashion browsing, but no shopping, as I plan to buy a new school bag soon. Anyone might be interested in my other Michael Kors school bag? I'll make a post about it later. Have a good one!

Wearing this today. I like how the sun is still shining, but it's cold enough to wear a couple of layers to keep myself warm.

  • 1

I guess I'm still in vacation mode as school has drained me of both time and energy, which ultimately makes it difficult to balance school, work, myself, a fever and ultimately a blog, as you can see for the past couple of days. But I'll do my best to post something once I have a routine going on and I've gotten a bit used to the new studentlife, lol.

  • 2

Had a day off from school, but woke up early despite temperature, muscle pain and goosebumps to buy a new printer, as the good and devoted student I have become. Otherwise, I've done some graphic work, feel free to have a look at my facebook page for my graphic designs here! Other than that, I wish you all a good day.

Spent this sunday with E. Woke up in rhythm with the sun. Played Mario Kart. Went for a long walk. Ate egg and bacon. Took a midday nap. And now he has left, whilst I'm sitting in my room wondering what to do this evening.

First day of school yesterday, and "fadderuka" (sort of like freshers, I guess). My thoughts on the train to town were: "No. Nope. Hell no. I don't want to do this. Can we turn back home please?". But I soon realised that it wasn't that bad after all. All the people are really including and friendly. Yesterday consisted of bar-hopping from 4PM to 9PM followed by an afterparty at John's bar. Today is second day of "fadderuka" and it's a houseparty!

Now that the summer holidays are coming to an end, and I begin school tomorrow (!!!!) to study macdesign, I feel a bit melancholic. I really want the rest of this year to be continuative in happy moments, although the summer is ending and we are going towards colder seasons. So, I've made a list, of things I really want to happen by the end of the year.

    - Read books

    - Enjoy school and my studies

    - Wrap myself up in layers when the cold comes

    - Take photos at the right place at the right time

    - Travel to Paris

    - Be social and outgoing

    - Laugh

    - Have fun

and by the way, I'm freaking a bit out here, like what do you wear to your first day of university? Hello fashion dilemma!

I really don't want to go to work today, as I've gone to work everyday this week, and I really want a day off. But tomorrow is Sunday, which means I can finally chill a bit, before school starts on Monday.

Got to drag E to the "new" Brandy Melville shop in Oslo the other day (it opened in April, but haven't been there until now), and got with me a bag of eternal love home. A depressing colour while it's still summer, but I kinda like the winter when I can wrap myself up in layers and it's okay to wear boring colours.

Wore clothes only coloured in black, grey and white yesterday, except for my watch. It's wristband really need to be cleaned. I guess procrastination is one of the things I'm best at.

Did a little DIY research on how to resize my hat that i bought at Topshop London, back in February. An elastic band, a little needle and thread, and voila, I can start wearing it without having to worry when it might blow away.

Started reading this Saturday when I was sunbathing. However, it is surprisingly boring in the beginning, but I hope to get to what the book is really about soon. Have you read it?

// Finally home again from a fantastic week with the boyfriend in Riccione, Italy. Although the absence of good weather some days, the mood and wanderlust was present, and we always figured out something new to do. Riccione is a part of Rimini, and I felt it was an undiscovered holiday destination by the rest of Scandinavia. We could therefore go on a real holiday to warmer regions, not just to Scandinavia in a hotter setting, y'all get what I'm sayin'? Friendly and helpful Italians all over (though, very few knew a word English - had to quickly learn some glosses by google translate) and the service in the apartment complex we rented was super. We are going back someday!

// I'm at the airport in Münich with E, waiting to board the next flight to Bologna. We have been looking forward to this since we ordered tickets 90 days ago (yes, we counted), and now it is finally time to have a well-deserved holiday.
